Needlework finishing by Suzanne Cogar

Your stitching, finished and home for the holidays.

You did the stitching. I'll finish it by hand into an ornament, a pillow, a framed panel or something one of a kind, and send it back to you in 30 days. Many finishers have already closed their holiday books. I've saved a few spots.

Last call for the 2026 holiday season. I take only as many pieces as I can finish beautifully. For the holidays, your piece needs to reach me by Wednesday, November 25.

What goes into every finish

My prices reflect the time and attention it takes to curate the perfect materials for the perfect finish.

  • I search out fabrics, trims and embellishments chosen for your piece, not pulled from a bin.
  • I hand sew whenever possible and use as little glue as necessary.
  • You see pictures and make the choices by email, every step of the way.
  • I keep my list small, so your piece gets my full attention and comes home in 30 days.

I confirm your exact price before you ship. Half is due when I confirm your spot, the rest, plus insured return shipping at cost, when your piece is finished.

The finish sets the mood

Two cardinals, two moods. One got organdy and a gold bow, a little bit fancy. The other got pinecone fabric, jute and a real pinecone, more woodsy. Tell me the feeling you want, and I'll choose fabrics and trims to match.

From the studio

Something out of nothing

When I'm not finishing your needlework, I paint, quilt and build fabric collages, often from what's already in my stash. Some of it is in my Etsy shop, along with my slow stitch bird kits.

Meet the maker

Made by hand, one piece at a time

I'm Suzanne Cogar, stitching in Hartville, Ohio. I paint, quilt, sew and stitch, and I've been selling my work on Etsy for 12 years. Some of my favorite finishes are rescued stitching: a piece someone started or set aside, finished and given a home. Finishing is where a piece of stitching becomes a gift, and I treat yours like it's going on my own shelf.

I work at my own pace and keep my list small on purpose, so every piece gets my full attention and comes home on time.
